Fashion is Business , Antipodium, Marnie Skillings, Akira Isogawa and Josh Goot
Over the past 4 weeks I have already mentioned the various events of the evening meetings held in Fremantle Fashion Arts Center.
In discussions, some of the best designers in Australia and has played a rare opportunity to hear about their origin, the journey to the fashion, the concepts behind the aesthetics, and more.
I went to all four talks by Akira Isogawa, Antipodium, Josh goot and Marnie Skillings and learned some of the designers respond briefly.
Me and designer Josh goot (which is pretty hot if you ask me!). For some reason, smiled when the camera is released. You dragged the models too long?
I thought this would be the form of formal presentations, each of these designers speak for an hour behind the podium, with a power-point presentation, or something.
But it was much cooler than this! The figure is the man interview talk show series C, two chairs and a table with moderator C (Jo Pickup), the designer questions and responded with interesting stories. This allowed their personalities to shine, and everything was like a relaxed conversation. It was very close and sincere and really enjoyed it.
There were many important issues to debate four C was fashionable as a creative outlet. I identify with it more because I am familiar with the process of creation is, and how notions of inspiration to go through a process of development and then make a final product. It would be interesting to see how the design process, the same creative for all media.
But another important issue has been seen in the fashion industry. This applies to all sorts of fascinating details such as the supply of materials and fabrics, the selection of models, sewing, quality control, warehouse distribution, investment in international fashion shows and trade fairs.
The interesting thing is that everyone has chosen C designer clothes locally or abroad, have, some have chosen not to participate in international exhibitions, some have a great team working for them and some only 6 people involved, etc.
And finally, what I found to be more interesting, especially the issue of high fashion as a business.
I found myself walking a deep discussions inspired fashion. It would be great to make the fantasy of fashion and listen to the nuts and bolts of running a fashion label in question. It was very inspiring to hear the different ways people chose to run their business, and succeeded!
And while some may not agree, I liked the fact that we speak so openly and honestly designers, and see that there are gods and are unable to listen to all high and mighty.
The right to know that we need to run a business and pay their bills, and in fact, is like the rest of us.
